SaaS launch directory checklist
Before submitting a SaaS product to directories, prepare a consistent profile. This keeps copy accurate, makes source tracking cleaner, and reduces repeated manual rewriting.
Launch Profile
- Product name, URL, pricing status, target user, and category tags.
- Problem statement, outcome statement, and one proof or status line.
- One-liner, short description, long description, and tag variants.
- Public support route, privacy page, terms page, and screenshot assets.
Submission Checks
- Confirm whether each directory requires login, CAPTCHA, payment, or reciprocal links.
- Record the exact submit URL and review status in a tracker.
- Use a source-tagged URL for every listing so later traffic is easier to read.
- Keep blocked or paid-only directories in the tracker instead of repeatedly rechecking them.
AI Crawler Readiness

Form Readiness
Add a form-health check to the launch readiness list so missed submissions do not distort validation. Before launch-day directory traffic arrives, request a StaticSignal check for static forms, success states, and CTA paths.
Directory Publication Evidence
- For homepage-only directories such as Zearches, submit the clean homepage URL and keep UTM links out of that specific listing.
- Record public proof after submission: directory search result, timestamp, listing category, and any duplicate response such as `duplicate_limit`.
- Keep held-target reasons in the tracker. A paid downloadable kit may be weak fit for no-login or no-signup tool directories until it also has a free public tool.
Payment And Download Readiness
- Do not publish a checkout link until the payment provider shows live payments are active and the product, price, billing type, and digital-file signal have been checked read-only.
- Prepare support, refund, terms, privacy, and download-access pages before turning on a paid digital product.
- For Dodo digital delivery, avoid forcing checkout back to the homepage with a `redirect_url` unless a tested post-purchase handoff page exists.
- Tell buyers to use the Dodo Payment Successful email and Customer Portal to access the file, and explain how to retry if a signed download link expires.
- Warn that a downloaded file may arrive without a `.zip` extension; tell buyers to rename it to a clear ZIP filename before opening.
- Make downloadable ZIP roots buyer-friendly with `README-FIRST.txt` and `START-HERE.html`, not only folders or technical Markdown files.
- Verify delivery only through a user-approved purchase or safe platform test mode; never automate payment details, KYC, tax, bank, password, CAPTCHA, or legal acceptance steps.
Boundary
Directories can change rules at any time. Review each site's terms before submitting, and do not treat a listing as guaranteed traffic or acceptance.
